I dont know what the problem is, but lately a problem has occured where I cant watch streaming videos online with windows media player. The screen just stays black, I hit the play button and nothing happens.

What's going on? I dont think it's missing a codec, because I was viewing videos from the same site last month. I've tried downloading WMP10, but that hasnt done anything, hell it still looks the same, so I'm not even sure if it actually installed.

well, i can't tell the library to add all my music to the library. I can select the songs and it adds it to the library when i click the files manually but when I go into tools/library/moniter folder it freezes up on me...the music files are on my secondary drive which was just placed in my computer. 30gb of music...

I downloaded both and still a no go. I checked the error details and it said something along the lines of "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is located on the internet, connect to the internet"

What codec would I be missing?

Interesting....any way you can divulge the site name you're getting the streaming media from?

Could just be a plugin you need for your browser too. You using explorer or firefox?

Well I'm not sure if i can post the site here, the site itself doesn't involve porn or anything, but it's surrounded by ad's which are.

I've used AOL/IE/Mozilla, and none work.
