Whenever I play music for more then 5 minutes in it, the player keeps my cpu usage at 100%, so then everything else runs really slow. I already tried to scan for viruses and cleaning my computer out. Any inputs? Thanks in advance.

How much RAM have you got?

This may not change anything but try and use itunes it's easier to use and more popular.

While you're cpu usage is at 100% try typing/holding ctrl, alt and delete. It will give you a list of the programs running. If you see any programs you don't recognize than please inform me.

Just out of curiousity...do you know how much system resources WMP11 uses.

If you want to trim down the bloated-ness of WMP just hit START/run and type MPLAYER2, this should cut down system resources so you can multitask.
