Windows media player won't play embeaded mpg's

    When I click an embeaded mpg, wma, avi, etc. from a webpage, Windows media player doesn't open it up, I get a blank webpage in the browser. Windows media player is set as the default player for everything. I can download, save and play, but I can't play from the webpage.

    I am using Windows Vista on my laptop and Windows media player 11.
