Windows Media player

    Do I have to have media player on my XP Home pc.

    I feel I would like to try another and would like eliminate any conflicts.

    Any suggestions for a better Media Player

    You CANNOT remove WMP from your windows pc, nor can you remove IE totally.

    You can use anything else like WinAmp, iTune's, SongBird without worrying about conflicts.

    EDIT: Its possible to remove WMP using regedit, not reccomended however, why not stick with it, it won't conflict.

    thank you. I have friends who use each you mentioned except SongBird.
    I keep looking for the simple way and try to avoid conflicts.

    Having two media playing programs will not cause conflicts, I have VLC Media Player and WMP 10 installed, with no issues.

    What makes you think they are conflicting?

    just thought I could get back some memorie that might be used in WMP and as always looking for something easier.
