    Hello folks,

I'm looking for software that will allow one to do screen captures of Windows Media file playbacks? Just wanting to take snapshots. What might do the trick for me.

    Thanks,

    Gamer2000.

You want to take screenshots of videos played in Windows Media Player right?

    If so, try this:

    1) In WMP, click on Tools, then select Options...
    2) Then in the options menu, click on the 'Performance' tab
    3) In the 'Video Acceleration' section, slide the arrow to None (right to the left), then click OK
    4) Now restart WMP, play your video file, pause it at where you want to take the shot, and press the Ctrl + Print Screen keys
    5) Now open up a paint program (or any other photo imaging program) and paste the image into it, it should show the video too, as well as the WMP interface
    6) Now crop the shot, save it into whatever file type you want.

And what if you want to Record the Audio and Video , to later burn to your own DVD. (There is a website called Total Vid that i have rented Great skiing vids from ) But the license always runs out before i get to watch and rewind what i want.

Thanks for the feedback. I've already found a bunch of solutions, and have successfully achieved the task at hand.
