Hiya Everyone! i have exported my dvd from nero vision and now imported it into windows movie maker. But the movie has got sounds on it eg. wind birds. Is there anyway of getting the sounds off and replacing it with music? Please could someone help me as i am very confused lol write bk please
Leanne - I personally loathe Movie Maker and more so .wmv movie format. If your version of Nero has Vision Express included you should be able to do all of what you want to do in there. Save the end result as an avi or divX and then if you absolutely have to have it in .wmv then drop your avi or divx into Movie Maker and convert it. To edit your movie - import the original avi into vision express (Make Movie option). Add it to the timeline. Then comes the easy bit....... For every section of the movie added to the timeline you want to silence simply click the movie segment then in the preview screen click the checkmark (Tick)and drag the audio slider down to Zero. That's part one done..... To add music - make sure your file is in PCM wave, mp3 or ac3 format. import the track into your project and simply add it to the audio track 1 field...... That's the basis of it - you can play about with various settings to trim the audio, control volume etc... Remember you cannot import .wmv into a VisionExpress project. So why bother creating them in the first place? Have a look at DivX if you want igh quality and high compression at the same time.... Very much the 'Now' technology and it's sure to be around for another few years at least and will replace DVD in the not too distant future..... Try work in avi and save to avi format. you can always convert your end product! Hope this is of help!
yes - best thing you can do is download the demo version and have a play with it...... Transitions, effects, templates etc....... You could also try Cyberlink's power Director 5 - I find that cool!!!!! Best Stable Nero Version (according to Creaky): http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe - Do not install later version of this file! Nero Downloads page (for VisionExpress)/ MediaPlayer and NeroMix. http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/nero-up.php - Do not bother with InCD - am advised this causes more problems than it solves.... If you like it I think you can buy/upgrade your licence online. On my advice though - don't bother withVersion 7!It took me 3 months to install it and quite literally nothing worked. It hates USB 2 for starters......
If you have been using Windows Movie Maker, you probably won't like NeroVision. Movie Maker is MUCH MUCH better for transitions and things. But Movie Maker sucks on the output format choices: WMV and DV-AVI. If you plan to alter your videos before burning them (and it sounds like you are) Movie Maker will be better for the editing. But to get the output to a DVD, you will either have to convert WMV to MPG2 with something else like Nero, which will be slow and noticably reduce quality OR convert DV-AVI to MPG2 which will be very slow and somewhat reduce quality plus DV-AVI files are pretty large. Something like Pinnacle would be better than either for your specific needs.
RLyon I have to disagree with you to some extent and once more rstate my loathing for Movie Maker - If your movie is anyway large Movie maker generates like a hundred million clips which more often than not locks up the window if not the OS..... If this fails to do the job then adding them to the timeline will! Yes - output formats suck too - as you so beautifully put it!But I'm at a loss as to where you can convert .wmv files using Nero.........I tried it but Nero don't like 'em! That's where Power Director Rocks (transitions, effects too)!!! I've used pinnacle and would definitely not advise this program either - bringing me back to where I was...... edit with Nero Version or something like Power Director 5 from Cyberlink (I do not advise Power producer 3 however for end output - you plain and simple cannot publishthe end result in any form with that product and as it is - a complete waste of money!). Use the transitions they incorporate if you like.....And if you have to output to .wmv and don't particularly like the transitions that eithr Nero of Power Director offer, pop your avi into Movie Maker as ONE file (not twelve hundred million), splice it where required and add your transitions before rendering the final movie.... Sorry RLyon but I have to 90% disagree with you on this - Movie Maker Sucks! Period!
I can understand how someone relatively unfamilliar with Movie Maker can feel that way. For instance, you don't have to let Movie Maker generate clips at all. You can find your own scene changes manually, just like in Nero. In fact, NeroVision won't separate scenes (clips) at all, BTW; the closest it comes is finding "chapters", which takes longer than burning the video! LOL Anyway, I never said Movie Maker was great. But I know some of his/her needs from this and other threads. As I indicated,I wouldn't use either Movie Maker or Nero if I had a choice. But NeroVision transitions suck (to use your terms). Therefore, NeroVision would not seem to work well for him/her. Whether Movie Maker will depends on things not mentioned yet.
OK Right. I kinda don't understand what you are telling me to do! I need to take my movie files from a DVD and i want to edit the movie by adding titles, transistions and music! i need a program that can do all of the and preferably a FREE one Can you help!
