I have two .AVI files that I wish to place onto my DVD. I'm using DVD+RW's and this has worked for my other movies. The other movies however were only one file and this one is two files. It appears the ones with single files had no problem. The frame rates are the same but the audio sampling rate differs by 0.00100; When I publish it to my DVD and play in my player, I get this green bar that takes up half the screen and squishes the video. I would appreciate step by step instruction to either merge both the .AVI's or a suggestion to remove the green bar.
You can use virtualdub to join the two files and make a one-piece movie. Open the first in vdub, then select file/append and add the 2nd piece. Set both video and audio to direct stream copy, and file/save to a new avi.
I have tried doing that but because one of the videos has a 0.00100 rate difference, it won't allow that.
One other thing you can try in Virtualdub, choose video/frame rate. Set it to match the other, and write out the piece in direct stream copy mode. Then append as mentioned earlier. ( It's such a small amount of difference, it's not likely to alter audio sync) Otherwise, try DVD flick and see if it will allow you to add both files to the same title. If not add them to consecutive titles.
