Ok, here's my problem (hi btw lol)

I loaded bootcamp assistant in an effort to try windows xp on my macbook. I did the first part creating the space etc. Rebooted and now it tells me it cant find the boot drive or somthing?

Now i'm left with having to hold the option key to boot into the mac os. If I try click the windows option I get a "Can't find boot disk/drive" something like that anyway.

    Can anyone help?

    thanks in advance

    Sounds like boot camp failure.

This is common in mac os x leopard but only happens once in a while.

There is a fix but you are not going to like it very much.

You need to reformat your system and start again this error will continue and you will loose hard drive space unless you reformat your computer.

I had this same issue and had to restart my mac mini because during a installation of the boot camp partition boot camp malfunctioned and crashed and i ended up with a 15 gig partition that neither operating system could access.

Just delete the boot camp partition from Disk utility. Then repartition the drive...

i am waiting on my mac mini arriving, i also purchased the iomega 500gb minimax hard drive. im no computer expert but im thinking of putting windows xp or vista onto the iomega hard drive and just leave the mac mini hdd untouched.

is this possible, if so how would i do it. do you recommend vista. which is better, parallels or bootcamp and why?

im sorry for all the questions but im anxiously waiting for my mac mini which is coming on friday and id like to have everything organized.

btw i got the new mac mini, 2ghz intel, 1gb ram, superdrive, if that helps your decision on what software to use.
