windows player 6.4

    I need to uninstall/reinstall 6.4 due to a recent issue that I think I can solve by doing this. It now plays dvds in a "JERKY" mode, like mvies of 80 years ago. Where does the player live? I cannot find it in the all programs list, or the add/remove list. Is there a better player that will play ALL dvds includeing COPY PROTECTED dvds that has ALL fecoders/codecs installed. I had to download a codec pack to make the player function. HELP PLEASE! noemailallowed@spam.biz
