I have a problem with my quick launch toolbar. Normally, there are suppose to be two lines in between the quick launch icons (left and right of them). However, my toolbar only has one, which is to the left of the icon and the one to the right is missing. Now here’s the problem. Whenever I open let’s say Internet Explorer or a desktop folder, I cannot see that window in my quick launch area. I have to press alt + tab to alternate between my opened/minimized windows, which is extremely annoying. I have searched everywhere for a solution to this to no result. If anyone knows a solution to this, please advise me. I hope this is clear, if not I'll post up a screenshot of it tomorrow. I greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Sounds like the Quick Launch feature is turned off. R/click on the taskbar>properties>taskbar tab>place a check mark in the box next to, Show Quick Launch>Apply>OK. You can also activate the Quick Launch by R/clicking the taskbar>toolbars>click on Quick Launch, if there is no check mark to the left of it.
My quick launch bar is activated. The problem is I cannot see the windows that I have opened in the quick launch toolbar. My quick launch icons such as IE, Firefox are all there.

OK, I understand now. Your Minimized Programs are missing from the taskbar. Try this: Open 'Control Panel' and select 'Add/Remove Programs'. Check for the program entries >of WinSrvReg and Friend Greetings. If found, uninstall the program >and reboot. Or try this: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_t.htm Click on, Minimized Programs Missing Download and use this repair tool.
Hey QuickDraw, thank you so much for that site you provided. I downloaded the .vb file and instantly fixed my problem. Thanks again! I was starting to think I will have to reinstall my computer.
