Okay im not good with the whole dvd thing
so perhaps someone could help me
    okay
First i dont have a dvd rom or burner just an ordinary 48x tdk cd burner.

there is a new windows; Windows Vista Beta 1 developers kit.
I beleive its 2.47 gigs normally now obviously a regular data cd cannot fit that
and its ment to read off a dvd type cd (it says so)
but yeah i dont have a dvd rom but i plan on getting one soon SO
if i were to snatch it Will i be able to just burn it as a Data cd to the dvdr; just as if it was a normal data cd just this time with 4 gigs of memory?
So then i could bring it to a close friends house
unload it and reburn on there dvd drive and install it on my computer once ive got the dvd rom

    Sorry if thats confusing

The only way i can think of copyin the software to CDR is by compressin the DVD to ur hard drive eg. via winrar etc.. and then burn to cd if its at all possible and also if its still 2 big split it too 2 compressed files if at all possible and burn to 2 cd's...

Thats all i can think of right now...

yes use winrar but use split funtion (first or second screen in i think?) type in 700.000 or whatever for cd size, then rar it and put on 4 cds
