I am on my laptop right now because my pc is acting up. About a few days ago everything was going fine. I left the pc on for a few hours came back and my monitor says no signal. I thought it was just my black screen saver at first so I moved the mouse and realized my pc was frozen. Like an idiot I pulled the plug to restart my computer and a screen appeared when it restarted asking to do safenode or start windows normaly. I chose start windows normally.

So here is why I am frustated. Eversince that incident happened my vista displays distorted colors, the icons are too big, it has yellow lines. Is this my graphic card? Is it a hardware or software and how can I fix this?

Everything on a windows machine from win 95 (& even earlier most probably 3.1 as well)to present day is accessed thru the start menu which in turn gets ya to the all progs list & the "tour vista" icon well it may not be named that but ya get the picture, put another way there's a manual for everything except Women

in device manager in display adapter, uninstall your video card then restart windows so can find new hardware & load it's driver for the videocard.
