hi my problem is somewhat awkward, I made an upgrade to pc's Proccesor and Memory. I was Originally Running a core 2 duo 2 Ghz 2mb cache 1ghz bus speed, and i changed it to a Pentium D 3 Ghz 4mb cache 800mhz bus speed i know my board supports this particular processor because before buying it i checked the website. i upped the memory in my system from 1 gb to 3gb. Now for some odd reason the system would hang during Windows Boot, So i decided to do a clean install as everything in my system is already backed up, after pressing any key to start the vista installation after the loader bar that says " Windows is loading files..." is done it just hangs there doing nothing. I thought maybe it was my memory so i took 2gb out and left only the 1 gb stick in and its still doing that. i also disconnected all my hdd's to see if it would at least boot and it still hangs there. im really at a lost if anybody can help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated. also sorry in advance for my very bad grammer

The Intel Pentium D is also a dual core proccesor Pentium D

and i found out what my problem was, even though i cleared the cmos the processor was o/c for some reason at 3.99ghz i just adjusted the bus speed untill it was at its normal 3ghz and now she's running smoothly
