windows vista

    i know windows vista comes out in january 2007. I was wondering if anyone knew if the computers that run windows vista will cost alot more than laptops on the market now.

    At first, all new technology will cost more. The biggest move as far as hardware goes, will be the use of the new DirectX 10 compatible video cards and chipsets. Chipsets running onboard video will have to be compliant as well.

    As of now, there are no DirectX 10 compatible cards. (even though Vista uses DirectX 10 now)

    @3085 Windows Vista is the new Microsoft os(opertion system) aka Longhorn

    i just ordered a new computer and it said vista capable or something like that so does that mean i can use it?

    yeah but it won't have all of the features of windows vista.
