windows won't wake up

    I have a laptop and whenever I put windows in stand by everything is fine. But when I raise the screen to use it my laptop will come on but the screen won't and then i have to reboot. Am i doing something wrong?

    hmm...not sure on this one. first thing to do is scan for spyware and virii (just to be safe), then do a system restore to before you had this problem. check all your power settings to be sure they're set to reactivate the lappie when you lift the screen.

    You could also check your Power Options...that is, before you do a restore. Just to verify that your hd isn't shutting itself down while in standby.

    To check the power options, go to Start>Control Panel>Power Options.
