Would xp 64 be better than vista, considering all those drm management crap that will be part of micro$oft'$ new o$?? Just wondering.
I know there's got to be improvements, my point is more with regards to the management of certain sotware and circunvention of some material. I understand that vista's main improvement is in dealing with dual core processors and 64bit processing, which xp 64 can do the same.
methinks dazila is a M$ fanboy, because no self respecting person that values the freedom to use his computer in whatever way he/she wants would consider Vista to be better than any kind of XP. Not that XP is so great, but at least it's not a heap of DRM junk. For more info, read this : http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/387776 Lots of info on the kinds of DRM to be used in Vista and the consequences. As for windows XP 64, due to the incompatibilty with lots of software, i'd say stick with regular XP.
Thanks Fiend, that thread was an eye opener (had them only half open before, lol), the tip on xp regular is also appreciated. Cheers!!!
well if you plan to use all the new softwares comming out in 2007 you will be better of with vista but if you plan to use current softwares you are better of with xp so its really what you need, vista also looks better lol!
New softwares coming out? do you have ANY idea how little software will be able to function under Vista ? There will be no products from Slysoft for vista untill someone solves the DRM sh*t. Same goes for a number of VSO programs, Nero won't be very workable either, Winamp and other media players will have to be redesigned to respect the implemented DRM sh*t which will take a while. Same goes for Torrent clients, Usenet readers, Alcohol 120%, Daemon tools, and god knows how many more programs will be affected. So you go ahead and throw away your cash @ Vista, i'll be laughing once you and all the other people who feel the need to always have the newest shiny sh*t realise none of their favorite programs work, and them come here crying for help and solutions...
Yeah, that drm management $**t is what troubles me. And realyy, even if I decide to purchase some 64bit software, I'd rather use xp.
yeah not now u peole never think about the future do oyuse next year everything will be nearly compatible with vista and some things wont be compatible with xp just hack it vista is better the xp if you say no thats like saying windows 98 is better then xp
