I have been recently having trouble running any game or software that requires 3D graphics. I am unsure if this is do to my graphics card driver or windows itself. Before the problem had occurred, I had formatted to Vista [and was unsatisfied like everybody else.] then reformatted to Microsoft XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) While using Vista I began to crash often whenever I ran anything that used 3D graphics. I then started to notice it would even crash while viewing certain web pages, and eventually it started to crash just out of the blue. In some cases it would not even start up, and it was not due to any cooling malfunction. When I reformatted XP Professional, the constant crashing stopped however I still crash while running any kind of 3D software. Prior to having Vista I had XP Professional and everything ran fine, the the graphics card is on board and is an NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405. I'm not sure what is going on, can anyone help me fix this problem? *I am unsure if this is the correct area to post this question, would someone please redirect me if it is not.*
Sadly I don't think any of your problems have anything to do with which Windows OS you happen to be using. This sound more like a hardware failure issue. Can you post what pc, mobo you have
