Does anyone know of a site where I can down "free" themes that dont have ads or a torrent site that has them? Please help! Thanks
You can get loads at http://www.wincustomize.com/ , http://www.themexp.org , http://www.xptheme.info and www.xpthemes.com . Most of these will require you to buy a program for them to work however you can still get these themes to work without buying the program- Read this article. http://www.uneasysilence.com/how-to-use-unsigned-themes-on-windows/ Hope that all helped, sure as hell helped me.
You can also try http://www.themeworld.com This site is really great and different Xp themes, screensavers etc...
and..... Here's a really good tip for those packed files from ThemeXP.org. (if you don't want the package adware that is!) *requires WinRAR or WinZip. Download or save the files to a folder like C:\Temp. Create another folder either on your main drive or second drive. Call it Tempa (on main drive) or Temp on the second drive. Use the extract command to extract the files from the package. For ex: c:\temp\123345.exe /x d:\temp You'll see a flash of a window, then nothing. Go to the extracted folder. Look for a file called %EXENAME%. Right click and open with WinRar. In Winrar just click on the file and extract to your desktop. Delete the other files. Don't launch any of the exe files...those are the adware programs.
hey, i have a quick question. Right now my firefox looks like this: and i want it to look like this: can i make it look like that without changing my deskotp theme?
in firefox, click on tools. midway down the tools list, you will see "themes" click on that and a new window will pop up. in the bottom right corner, there will be a link to "get more themes". click on that and you will be directed to a site to download more themes for firefox.
i knew how to do that, but i was wondering if i can make the blue part at the top of the screen look like a mac. without changing the desktop theme.
Probably meant desktop theme, there must be a way to enable that Mac OS look with just a skin, I'll look it up.
That particular part of the FF theme is actually Windows. You'll need a Mac theme for Windows to affect that kind of change.
