Hi, I had alot of spyware and crap on my pc, so i decided to reinstall Win XP Pro. Wheni tried to install it told me i have a virus scanner running please close and try again. But i didnt have any virus scanner running. So i booted into safe mode and ran installation in safe mode. It installed fine but now it is trying to finishing installing so it boots into safe mode and says "cannot complete installation in safe mode restarting". Even when i take the disk out it still tries to install and restarts. How do i get it out of safe mode with out going into safemode???
did you format your drive or just write windows over itself with a repair installation? if you're doing a total reformat (which is recommended), just use a copy of windows 98 or download a formatting program. run fdisk, then install xp again.
you didn't answer my question. just go to http://www.bootdisk.com, download a boot disc/format disc, and run it to erase everything. then start over again with your install. just boot from disc.
No i didnt format my disk. I reinstalled it in safe mode because it would let me in windows. But now it only boots into safe mode and it tells me it has to restart its stuck in a infinite loop.
Thank You Very Much I did what you said now it dosent boot into safemode and continues install Thankyou!!!
