Windows xp home edition

    I reinstalled windows xp home edition windows/system 32 and some how lost "stand by" mode.I've tried checking power in the control panel.....nothing. When I click on start+turn off computer I've got two choices Turn off and restart.I've checked the bios and power. Any ideas?

    Try doing a repair with your Windows XP Home CD.

    You will need to boot to the CD to repair your Windows OS.

    Thanks for the suggestion I tried that and like I mentioned I also tried the power in control panel and in the bios with no luck.For informaton that might help someone with the similar problem,by reading all your forums I found and solved the problem by downloading the nividia drivers.Alls well and thanks.
