windows xp home

    ok i have a 469mb file folder of windows xp. ok how can i put it on say a dvd so it will work in any p.c.here is what i am trying to do i have an older pc i think its running windows 96 or 98 not sure.and i am going to put in a 40gb hd in it that already has xp on it .but some people tell me the pc wont work so i have to reforemat it.if i put this disk in will it work. first i have to get it to cd or dvd please help.

    don't copy the folder but the files & folders onto a cd thru your burner program. should have 4 folders & about 5 files seen on the cd.

    do you know how to burn cd's? what burner program do you have?

    i have a clue use nero express should i choose data>data disk or bootable disk?should i add all these files?in the same order

    try bootable & doesn't matter the order they are in.

    thank you so when i put the 40 gb hd in.put disk in and then go from there??????

    yes as long as you have the key # for xp.
