windows xp install problems

    i have a problem that i cant seem to rectify. i have reformatted both my hard drives on my P4, and am trying to reinstall windows xp, the problem is that when the computer reboots, it goes right back to the start. by that i mean it starts to reinstall all the drivers and other files it needs to install windows, reboots, and goes right back to the start again. help!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You tried taking the disk out before it reboots?

    yea, and it goes to "checking hardware config" and just keeps cycling thru that. does not want to load this freaking XP. i have not had this problem b4 and i have reformatted about 4 times with no problems. wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Have you put anything new in your pc since the last installs? I've had somethin like that happen to me over a 56k modem

    took out the wireless and the dvd burner for new computer, and put back in my cd burner.
