got a laptop and i keep getting a message saying windows not genuine im afraid to go online and get it sorted thru microsoft seeing as times are tight cashwise and then get it knocked of and leave me with nothing.any help will be gratefull and appreciated.
moved to correct forum as not a pc hardware issue. download from this link http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/RemoveWGA.shtml & run it. this came originally from ms as some genuine versions of xp were showing up as not legit.
i went on to link that the windows gave me and it said that im running windows 7 which seems to be correct will i still go to the link advised by ddp.
Why do you say Win XP in your post title and then say you have Win7. If you have Win7 then go here and get a key for it, that is if you have the RC version. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/installation-instructions.aspx
