Hi, can some one help me with windows xp,its running very slow,done a full scan found 10 Trojans in music i downloaded from lime wire mcafee quarantined them all,then done a system clean registry and so fort,but still the same,its do-in me head in all-together,can some one recomende what to do next. thanks lads.
Personally I wouldn't trust macafee to solve all your antivirus/security issues. My advise would be to check what else may be lurking around inside your machine. Use the link below to download and run Hijackthis. This app creates a log that you can post in the antivirus forum and have it checked. Hijack available from afterdawn Do not fix anything with this program..at all. Just use the log it generates. After that very important stage has been sorted, you could also click on start-> then Run and type in msconfig. Click on the startup tab and have a look at what is loaded at that time. Choose carefully when selecting a program(s) not to run at startup. Good luck.
macafee.. there is your problem.. it's a pile of cra.. that's why you have to pay for updates every year. #make your pc 100% better.. remove winlogon.exe from the startup list soon somebody is going to be a full time linux user.. wondering how a crappy old 1gig pc with 350 or so ram seems so fast and stable... FOSS ftw XD love ya XD
