My computer has window xp home edition, sometimes when I leave the room for a while instead of going into the screen saver it says "preparing to standby..." in the blue screen with the windows icon and i cant get out of that without turning the computer off. What does this mean/ why does this happen?
go into your control panel/power options and on the system standby box/ put down "never", this will prevent your computer from ever going into standby.
