i have windows xp service pack 3 (updated from service pack 2 about 1 month ago). my computer won't start in normal mode or any other modes (safe mode and all that). it stops right before where it shows the windows logo and the loading bar. i'm pretty sure it's not bec. ause of a virus because i keep it pretty clean. the only wrong thing that i saw is that it had a corrupted file on c/program files/microsoft office/office 11
that's the only bad sign that i noticed everything was running fine.
any help is appriciated and if you need any othe info about my comp just ask.

    Hi maxtech07

Your problem could be due to a corrupted operating system or hard disk. Don't worry about how you did something wrong to have this result: these things can happen anytime, anywhere.

I would recommend a check of your hard disk at your local computer store (unless you have a copy of a boot cd, such as Spinrite or HDD Regenerator, which checks hard disks). If that does not show any error, then you probably have to reinstall Windows.

    Best Regards :D
