hey everyone, windvd works fine for me and everything, but the problem is when i close it i lose all my sound. yes i've checked power and cables and audio levels in the control panel, the only way to have sound on my computer is to open up windvd creator, import a video, and turn up the volume slider in the program! anyone else had a similar problem or have any solutions?

    uninstall WinDVD
check and see if your audio has been restored to default drivers if not
roll back to the Restore Point (hopefully you made one b4 installing WinDVD) is the problem fixed then?

Now reinstall WinDVD go through the options carefully, don't associate all audio components/files with WinDVD...i.e. you only want to associate DVD playing with it. I had this problem with Nero Showtime...it wanted to be the complete exclusive BOSS of all image, audio, video, etc files on my computer.
