I have recetly bought a Toshiba A60 Laptop with a DVD rewriter and Windvd creator installed. I bought an s-video lead (and others) from PC world, as I wanted to put old VHS tapes onto DVD.
But, after opening Windvd creator it doesn't recognise the vcr or dvd player that I hook up throught the s-video lead. I have also tried to do this through Windows Movie Maker and that doesn't recognise the device.

    Help!!! I'm going mad!!!

You sure that the laptop has native capture ability??? Does it say anywhere if it features VIVO or s-video capture? All I can find out about it suggests it only has s-video out...
