    Hi folks,

I'm new to all this so help appreciated (not to say that if I was old hand it wouldn't be, but ... :)

I used Dvd2Svcd (great stuff!) and made a VCD of Gladiator. The bin/cue files load up okay in Daemon and the CDs I burnt play on my Toshiba DVD player. However neither WinDVD 2000 or Windows Media Player seem to be able to play the CD I burnt or the Daemon psuedo-VCD. When I try and load the CD or change the default drive in WinDVD to play the Daemon CD it gives me the Play button but then hitting it doesn't do anything. Basically WinDVD just sits there like there's no media or movie loaded.

Now just for grins, one time, when I changed the default drive to the Daemon drive, WinDVD suddenly started playing the movie but after I rebooted it's back to a sulking mode!

What gives? Am I missing some codecs? Any special incantations? What?

    thanks,

    human

Yes, believe it or not that works! That's what puzzles me. I mean the VCD plays on my DVD player so why not in WinDVD. Only reason I can think of is that my WinDVD is old (v 2.1 or something).

    Thanks anyway.
