i just switched from dial up to ethernet when i moved into my dorm. I was wondering what i need to do to change my download rate from 3k/25k/sec to double that which i know can be done b/c others in my dorm with crappier comps get better results. I can make a primary connection to the network but search results are very low. so secondary is where im at now. As for TSP and UDP i know nothing about but i cant send or recieve for some reason please help and remember i dont know much thanks

Always use secondary connection unless you have a T1 line or better because the upload speeds really suffer.

Check that your download speeds are not capped by going to options and bandwidth throttle. Be sure to cap your upload speed to about 85% because this can slow down your incoming files too. Check that the process interleval is 200ms and that only 1-2 uploads are allowed at one time (in the Queing window). All this optimises your connection.

It may be worth seeing how the others have theirs configured. Of course, it could be that there is too much traffic from other people at the time which will slow down your speeds.
