hi after installing winrar 380 on my pc to watch films i kept getting [enter password message] i was adviced to install 7zip to overcome this. it is ok but after ive compressed the file there is either an encryption error or winrar pops up looking for a password .any ideas please
If you are trying to un-compress files that are not yours, the only thing I can see is that the file is locked, and you need to enter a password, hence the password request Hope this helps
Either the file was corrupted or encrypted (most likely the latter). If you downloaded the file, try going back to the source to see what the password was, it should have been posted with the file. If you got the file from someone, try asking them what it is.
