how can i run my downloaded movie when half of its files are winrar archive files and the others are .r30 etc??

i watched the files download off U torrent and they're all about 2 minutes long..the files unfortunately stayed separate even after the entire movie finished. i'm not sure what to do.

not only do i have a folder full of disjointed movie files but not all the files are the same. some are still in there winrar archive form even after i extracted the first r00 file as someone suggested i do. can anyone help?

    That's the multi-part archive.
Have you installed Winrar? A free alternative is 7-zip
    http://www.7-zip.org/

Install the program. Right click on the rar file
(***.part01.rar or ***.rar) select 7-zip/extract files

yeahh, i've downloaded winrar, but when i click extract, nothing happens..are they meant to turn into other files when i extract them? it shows that its extracting them but when it reaches 100 % after going through each file...i end up with nothing.

i downloaded that other alternative program. it did the same thing. nothing happens after i extract. am i doing something wrong?

It probably extracted, but you haven't found the extracted file.
On my rather old version of winrar (not sure if it's changed)
the choices are "extract files", "extract here", "extract to xxx\"

"extract files" should open up the main winrar window where you have
full control. "extract here" extracts the contents in the folder
you are currently in. "extract to xxx\" (xxx is a new folder based
on the file name of the archive.) will create a new folder one
level deeper than where you are, and put the contents in there.

    ah thanks.

ok, so i think i found the extracted files. but now, rather than having 90 different little rar files i have about 10 Vob files...which is a step closer, though i'm still left with the problem of how to put them together into one avi.

i've downloaded this program called Avidemux. its put all the Vob files together but i've lost the audio..which is strange as the Vob files, when i open them separately in DivX player, all seem to have sound. anyone got any ideas?
