Ok, i've had this problem for a while now, and it was ever since my mum did something to the computer, i think it was a clean up or something but as far as i know, nothing was removed. It goes on for about 1000+ pages. I havn't always had this problem, it's ever since my mums done something with the computer. I've tried re-downloading it so many times from the offical site, still nothing works! It's really annoying because anything i really want to download, i can't because they're almost all .rar files. I've posted a question like this before on yahoo, but no answers. Someone help please?
have you tried right clicking the .rar file and selecting open with and manualy selecting win rar maybe the default program has been switched to microsoft word.
have you tried deleting the file association to .rar files? open your C drive in my computer. from the menu bar click tools > folder options. click the file types tab. scroll down and select the .rar extension, then click delete. now try downloading a rar file and see if that fixes it.
