Hi I'm hoping that someone can help me with my recent problem of when I right click on a winrar file, and select to extract the files to a folder, the program goes through the motions but when I look there is nothing there. This has just happened to me as I have been using winrar for years with no problems untill now - anyone help me out with this problem please.
Maybe the destination of the extracted files has changed. Do it again and pay attention to the destination.
I normally make a folder andput the zip file there then I right click and select the option to extract files here. Normally all goes well and the extracted files are in the created folder. But now i just goes through the motions and bleeps when the files have been extracted, but nothing appears. I have since installed 7zip which works the same way as winrar except it does show the files as per normal the way winrar used to. I suppose I'll just use 7zip from now on, but I was just curious as to why winrar just started behaving this way. I even uninstalled it, then installed it back again but this had no effect. I have ran various virus scans to see if it was that, but everything is clean so I'm at a loss as to whats making the program not perform as it used too.
