Have downloaded a 25 part movie. Part 01 shows a yellow arrow in the Rar, part 01 Icon. Also says it's an application which scares me.

I have scanned this for a virus, etc.

When I right click on part 01 ther is no "Extract"

    What's up with this?

    Doesn't ask for a password.

    Thanks

thats weird, the only way i know that you can solve it is, find a torrent , buy/rent the movie or get it from a p to p site

It's lucky actually that whoever is putting these malware rar archives up is too useless to make them extract and run. It would be so easy to make it extract the exe or an autorun file and autoload the malware hijacking the double click of the rar unpacker to authorise the software installation.. *sigh* not all script kiddies have brains eh?

If I had a link for one of these nasties I could have some fun with it.. like make it work with my own bot installer and then seed working files back.. but I only d/l known working clean things...

Always read the comments for torrents.. and don't touch anything suspicious.

I would suggest after deleting it running some good anti malware (malwarebytes?) and a quick rootkit scan.

    Hi,

I don't use Torrents, I use Binaries. Yes, full of viruses and malware.

Seem to get more and more fools adding their viruses each year.

I alway's scan the files before I do anything else!

    Thanks
