Winstaller UPDATE 10-14-07

First you need to know if its a TA-082 MOBO. Then you will want to upgrade to 2.71 firmware and use the uppropriate downgrader as defined by your motherboard. Then you can use the easy installer to upgrade to OE. Someone can ellaborate on how to find out what MOBO you have. You can find the update and downgrader at http://psp-hacks.com

 

I now have a TA-086 Motherboard FW: 2.71 and how do i get the lastest OE FW? what easy installer are their to use?

Download the 2.71 TA-082 easy downgrader from http://psp-hacks.com and run in. Then come back and use the easy OE installer.

 

Question i am on 3.02 OE-B is the c better ? and can i update it using your program ? also some of my iso when they load from mestick i just see the small version of the game then load it and the screen turns black is it cause i need the newer version of the firmware of alexes the C version ?

Got referred to your thread..I started one on how to upgrade to 3.10 from 3.03 OE-C on a TA-082.. Is it true I can just go straight using your wininstaller? I presume at this stage with custom OE already on my set, the issue with TA-082 doesn't matter any more??

Also, I realise I got to take care of the kernel setting? Do I set it first in 3.03 or do it later??

nope, when you downgrade from; & dont quote me on it, sony 3.03, then you do not have to wory, cause the motherboard is already automatically patched...if you have CFW....no worries @ all....

 

Pardon my engrish...I dun get you...I had a TA-082 but CFW of 3.03 OE-C...what do you mean by downgrade from sony 3.03?? Not really into the picture at all, bro...care to explain a tad with details..

 

viper1503 why do you what to do that? if you press UMD's upgrade icon it will update your psp. (no iso's or app will work on your psp)

finn65 the 3.10a Winstaller has the 3.10a and 3.10a2 in it.(first run one then the other)

psplover8 that is all you need to play iso or cso games.(put them in the ISO folder) or you can get Devhook v52.01
look in the Readme so you know what to do.(format your MS)

tipst3r80 you can format your MS or make the folder that you do not have.(edit your post and search for what you need)

ukgtitch you need a 1.5 psp.(search for a downgrader) look at my last post here for the link.(and you will need to take a risk on bricking)

rkuri you need to update 3.03 OE-A to 3.03 OE-C(or 3.10 OE) so you can change the cpu speed.

XboxIsDaB yes c is better and you can update with this winstaller.
If a game is not working then it's not untouched or you have No UMD on.

Nullbig when you get a 1.5(or 3.03 OE-C)psp TA-082 doesn't matter any more.(you can go straight to 3.10 OE-A)
and what gasconade sed only tell you that you can downgrade a TA-082 psp that is 2.71 to 3.03(this has nothing to do with what you will do)

You might want to scale down your sig. The mods will give you a warning then ban you if you dont. Just a little heads-up.

I forgot to install the updater to 3.10a2, i just installed the 3.10a. To install the update is it ok to reinstall and just run the updater? Thanks for any reply.

i personally like 3.03 OE-C because u can customize your XMB. Yes u can install it as long as it has already been downgraded to 1.5.

 

Ive just used winstaller 3.030E-C but when I go into game/memory stick two file are there one is 3.030E-C and the other one is a corrupted data file. my psp is a 2.71>1.5 im not sure what ive missed

I finally got my psp to update from 2.50 to 2.71. Using the easy 2.71 downgrader, I then got my psp down to 1.50. Excellent!!!!

Now I'm ready to upload the the lastest firmware. Which do you recomend. I already downloaded the 3.03 OE-C Winstall.
Hex, I see you prefer the 3.03 OE-C. What is a XBM?

FYI people out there having trouble downgrading to 1.50. I read somewhere that using a 32mb memstick and formating it prior to downdating might increase your chances of seeing the RED screen. I did it and it worked for me first try.

I did what the link says but I think I messed up.... I am now at 2.81
and the psp works still I still want to get to 3.03oec can you advise
