I have a friend acer aspire one zg5 netbook

i have been trying to do a system restore but when i turn the restore on i get a popup saying (system restore has encountered an error trying to enable/disable one or more drive. please restart your machine and try again)

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf << is missing from win exp, when i searched for it i get this "Error in advpack.dll
    missing entry:launchinfsection"

the wifi will not connect to my home network says an there is an IP conflict with another system on the network.

and the lan connection will not stay connected or is so slow that it times out.

so im looking for some ideas as to where to start, since there is no cd drive i am not able to do a cd restore but i do have flash drives to transfer files if need be.

i'm no expert but try this until 1 of them come and help a bit more

First try press reset on your router,
what speed are you getting from your provider, also when it times out is it during peak hours or anytime

about the wifi, its confliction with an Xbox or something else on wireless,
try reset it by pressing the "repair" on the wireless in "taskbar" at bottom of screen

also system restore did you have it turned "on" with restore partitions
it sounds like its corrupt, or no restore points are there!

The restore is turned off and when I try to turn it on the get error message.

I have already scanned for viruses and spyware and it's clean.
So I have done everything I can think of that's why I am asking for help here.

And I am sure there is nothing wrong with my Internet as I am replying to this via my iPod touch.
