I am having some problems with my Xbox 360. The problems that I am having are not being able to connect to Xbox Live. The current configuration that I have is a Cable Modem, a Netgear Router, and a long network cable about 30-40ft long. I have High Speed internet with Cox Digital Cable. The cable modem that I have is a Motorola Surfboard cable modem. The Wireless Router that I have is a WGT624 v3. I have my router hooked up to my cable modem and the network cable is running from my Xbox 360 into an open port on the back of the router. I thought that the problem was my router blocking ports so that the Xbox 360 couldn't login, but I checked them and it is allowing them. I also checked to see if my firewall was blocking it and it wasn’t. The next step that I was thinking about doing was either replacing the network cable with a brand new one or ending up buying the Wireless USB Adapter for it. Now for the weird situation is it allows me to play games online if I put the game in first, (NOT LOGINING IN ON THE DASHBOARD), and logging in under the game menu to play online. Can someone please tell me the solution onto fixing this problem?
