I am trying to connect my soft modded xbox to a a wireless network via a xbox wireless G adapter. My xbox boots in Avalaunch then I go to the original Microsoft Dashboard, and go to Network settings and it brings me right back to Avalaunch. How do I get the xbox to stay in the Microsoft dash and let me set up the network connection?? OR Is there a way to set it up through Avalaunch???

I've been thinking about a way around this and it's a tricky one but i'll run it by you.

    You have two options.

    1. You can go out and buy a wireless bridge and it will connect to your xbox flawlessly.

    2. Is a lot of hassle to get this pos device to work on your xbox.

THIS IS ALL IN THEORY-----BACK UP YOUR EEPROM AND FILES BEFORE ATTEMPTING

If you do not know how to ftp or how to mod your xbox STOP NOW

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
first thing you need to do is unmod your xbox. It's a sad thing i know.

You need the ms dash to install that special wireless adaptor.

Once your xbox is loading the ms dash and all the files are back to normal it should install. Throw a game exploit on your xbox and use it to gain access to ftp. Copy your C: over to your computer so you can compare it to a normal ms dash.

Now that it's all working you could try to remod your xbox. Download auto installer deluxe and use it to install your dashboard on E. Patch the dash so it loads E and everything should work again.

The reason this should work is because there aren't any conflicts or missing files on C anymore. C should be left alone and your FONTS folder should be named correctly.

If it didn't work work then you're not out anything, just some time. Now go out and buy a wireless bridge.

Ok so I know how to FTP, but dont know how to mod the xbox. Also I am not sure exactly what a wireless bridge is and how it will work. I have done a little reading and it seems to me it is just the same as the network adapter, obviously I am missing something. any help would be appreciated.

so you're using the wireless adaptor and you are getting an ip address?

You have to set up your network on your computer so anyone can access it without a password. I'm sure it's in network options. In sharing and security there should be options too.

To get to sharing and security right click any folder and it should be an option listed.

If you have the wireless adaptor working tell us how you made it work.
