I was just wondering if it is at all possible to connect your Xbox to the internet (using a router) wirelessly? I know that the 360 produces a wireless component to stick in the back for easy connectivity but does the original Xbox have the same? will the 360 wireless component work on the original? Is there a way to connect it to the wireless router w/o the use of cables?
i cant find any posts about it for some reaosn....and the same with google. do you know any posts about it that you may be able to post up?
yeah...but how would i link that up with my xbox? how could i get my xbox to access that router wirelessly?
It's not a router, it's a wireless adapter that you plug in your xbox using an ethernet cord that comes with it. It will automatically sync up with your router wirelessly.
xxteakxx - thanks a lot. I sadly didn't know that existed. But thats exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks again
yep, that is how mine is set up. Linksys wireless router and a Linksys gaming adapter. total cost will be about $150 for the two things And so you know in advance if you set up security on your router, which you should, then write down all the information because you will need to input it into the adapter to make a connection, or any other device you use wirelessly like a laptop. You need to know the SSID name like Linksys_SES_1939 They type of security you use like WPA Personal The long code it gives you for that security and if you use TKIP or AEP type of security Temporal Key Integrity Protocol Extensible Authentication Protocol
