I recently bought a wireless router and a pci card. The router that I just bought was a NETGEAR WGT624 and the PCI Card is a RangeMax WPN311. The situation is the computer that is hooked up to the router is a Dell GX240 tower running Windows 2000 with 512MB. The processor is an Intel Pentium 4. The computer that has the PCI card in it is an HP a735w with Windows XP running with 512MB. The processor is an AMD AthlonXP. The problem is that the computer with the PCI Card, it KEEPS FREEZING PERIODICALLY. I would like to know if anyone has the solution to this problem.

It freezes up once you see the desktop. I don't have any clue what causes it, but I sure would like to have it fixed.

    Try booting in safe mode

i don't know how to do this in 2000, you would have to push the powerbutton on and off real quick a coulple of times befor the computer boots to get a window that asks if you want to boot in safe mode but try pushing F2, F8, F11, Or Delete befor you get to the windows boot logo

this will keep all the drivers from loading then you can try holding back som items from starting upon boot up to free up memory on my computer is have nothing starting a boot up and it boots in less then 20 seconds
