I live in a small town and only have dial-up internet service. I notice the local "CAPTAIN D" had on their sign they offer wireless internet. How does that work? and how do you set it up?
Wireless internet is the same as DSL/Cable...only it uses a radio modem instead of a modem that plugs into a phone/cable line. It operates in the same function as a CB radio...on a higher frequency (our ISP uses either 900Mhz, 2.5 or 5.0Ghz). The radio/modem has an antenna on the back, or it could be mounted to the roof. Check out our ISP's information below. http://www.pipinternet.net/wirelessfaq.html
