    hey people,
I've just bought a new wireless mouse, a Microsoft optical mouse 5000. i wanted it for my laptop so i went onto the net, saw this one and decided to get it, the picture never showed the receiver. i got it today and the mouse is brill, the receiver isn't what i expected. i was expecting a usb dongle but got a massive receiver with a half meter cable. is there anyway i can use the mouse without the receiver. I've got wifi and blue tooth on my laptop.
    any idea
    Dan

Unfortunately no, you'll have to live with it, as the receiver is proprietary to Microsoft's wireless mouse.
