Ok, my xbox has access to my computers and all the files, but I still can't get the xbox to connect to the internet. I have seen does of threads on this but none of them seem to be right for my setup. I have the cable internet in my office that goes into a router. From there the computer connects by cable. I want to put my xbox in the living room so I need it wirelessly setup. I am using the microsoft wireless adapter on the xbox. It currently connects to the computer just fine and can ftp no problem, I just cant get to the net. When I hook it up by cable to thr router it works perfect access tot he computer and to the net. Is there something I'm no understanding?
Is your Dashboard's network set to DHCP? If it is static, did you set up the default gateway correctly? It should be the same as if you were type in "ipconfig" into an msdos prompt and any of your computers on the network.
