Im very interested in buying a PS3 but i wanted to buy the 20gb model to save some cash, th only setback is that there is no Wi-Fi on the 20gb model, so is it posible to hook up a USB wireless reciever? i know you can use USB mouse/keyboards but withh the USB WIFI work? Also if you know any other setbacks of the 20GB model please let me know

I doubt that a USB Wi-Fi receiver would work because the driver for it would most likely be for only PC's and/or Macs. If nothing else; ethernet cord is fairly cheap these days.

Gamestop used to sell a wireless game adapter for ps2 and xbox. It pluged into the ethernet port and made the console wireless. See if you can find one of those.

using an ethernet cord isnt really an option, the ps2 and my router will be on oother sides of the house, i guess i will fork out some cash for the 60gb model, btw what type of wireless does the PS3 have?

i'm using a xbox wireless bridge thing, works perfectly. it's connected with a cat5 cable, and needs it's own power supply. i'd love to find out if something usb, or smaller was available though

If you get the wireless game adapter (like I have), you don't have to connect the PS3 to the router; so it doesn't matter if your router is on the other side of the country (it would be a bit odd though).

If you get the wireless game adapter, you will need a wireless network somewhere in your house.

Here's my setup: The wireless game adapter is connected to the PS3 via an ethernet cable. The wireless game adapter is plugged in to an outlet for power. The PS3 is now online. Not hard lol.

All you need to do is sync the wireless game adapter with your wireless network before you hook it up to the PS3. You do this by connecting it to a computer connected to the internet wirelessly.

The 20 gig was discontinued awile ago anyway, you would be lucky to find one outside of ebay. The 60 gig is worth the money to upgrade to. Remember more chrome is always better =)

It's already been discontinued, just like the 60 gig. Once the 60s are sold out, there will only be the 80 gig. My 120 gig PS3 is still better than the 80 gig ;)
