$99 is too much for a wireless adapter and the router is in the 2nd floor and my room is in the basement so that's way too much wiring. all my stuff are wireless desktop,ps3,laptop so it was never a problem till i have to hook the 360. so the deal is i have a belkin wireless router can i somehow make it grt wireless signals from the router upstairs and distribute it through he 4ports?

o and i tried the trick bridging the wireless and the LAN on my desktop so i can have hoook the 360 tot he pc but it didnt work

no, a wireless router will not receive any wireless signal, only emit it.

    well, that's not entirely true.

You could flash the firmware of your router (assuming your router is compatible) with the dd-wrt firmware. With that, you can set up your router to receive wireless signals and then you should be able to plug into the back of that. Check it out and read up on it.

not 100% sure, but isnt the dd-wrt stuff only for linksys? i had a belkin and it had lots of issues and i looked into custom firmwares for it and never found anything.

I know they definitely had made it initially for linksys (hence the wrt), but for some reason I thought they expanded it to a big list of routers that they support, and that can be flashed

Just looked it up. They support a ton of routers. Here's the link to the list:

Not sure if this helps but using the lan on your pc will definitely work. You just have to have sharing enabled. can be a bit fiddly setting up but it does work, as ive done it in the past with both XP and Vista, and it is a great way if u only have 1 connection.

I think that would be the easiest solution.

    hope this helps :)
