Wireless USB mouse

    I bought an HP wireless rechargable optical mouse and it will not work. It's not the USB port but the receiver wont pick up the mouse. Any thoughts?

    press the reset button on both the mouse & base. read the manual on that.

    I've followed instructions to the letter. When I plug in the USB base, it says new device is installed and working properly, but the base will still not recognize the mouse even after using both reset buttons.
