hi i have just setup my new home computer for the family, and today the internet was working fine until my firewall crashed. Once i had restarted the computer i had found that i was connected to the wireless network still but i cant connect to the internet at all. i went into cmd and typed ipconfig /all to see whether there was an ip address etc and there wasn't, it came up with an error saying " an internal error has occured" i dont have a clue on how to fix this so please may someone help me asap.

    thanks alot people.

have you tried removing and reinstalling your firewall? also look at your settings, is it set to block all?

The firewall, not the router, crashed yes? If you have uninstalled the firewall completely, and any other components that dictate how the computer connects to the network, reset your router and try to connect again with the software provided by the router manufacturer.
