I switched to the new version of Shrink and now may have wished I didn't. First problem was that there was no audio in preview window. Read here that you had to right click in the preview window and change to get audio. O.K., can that not be set as a default? Second, I backed up and clicked on DTS with all the other audios. DVD does not have audio in PowerDVD. Message says that the audio is not supported. Plays in my stand alone DVD player though. What is the way to use the audio selections? MKM
That the DTS plays on your SA player indicates that Shrink is handling the audio stream in so far as encoding etc. It seems that neither Shrink or PowerDVD allow playing of the DTS track on your PC. Possibly your PC's audio system does not handle DTS. Not sure but the message from PowerDVD may be confirming this. The message could also be indicating that your version of PowerDVD does not support this format. Don't think that any of this changed with version 3.2. You can always install the previous version on Shrin (3.1.7?) in another folder and runs some tests.
I don't htink that powerDVD supports play back in DTS. Most people don't have DTS capable equipment hooked to their computer so there is probably not a lot of call for it.
Thanks Veblin, Now I have to go get the newer version. I didn;t know they had done that. There goes more money
hello all this is my first post i'm sure that DTS works in powerdvd 5.0 (ripped with DVDdecrypter). I did it a lot of times as DTS is very common in France and region 2's DVD . Back to shrink: -DTS works on my backups on tv - i give it a try in shrink left window. hope this will help and sorry for my poor english.
