ok so here are the files i have: VIDEO_TS.BUP 6 kb VIDEO_TS.IFO 6 kb VTS_01_0.BUP 74 kb VTS_01_0.IFO 74 kb VTS_01_1.VOB 1,048,574 kb VTS_01_2.VOB 1,048,574 kb VTS_01_3.VOB 1,048,574 kb VTS_01_4.VOB 1,048,574 kb VTS_01_5.VOB 386,082 kb now which of these files do i burn and with what program? thanks!
What program are you using to backup your dvd? I recommend DvD Shrink. With a few clicks, you're done. "Open Disk" "Backup Disk" and it will prompt you when to put your blank DvD in the drive.
As recommended use DVD Shrink to compress your files to fit onto a 4.3g disk. Use the open file tab and then backup and proceed to burn with a burning program such as DVD Decrypter or Nero if you have it. Guides and programs are available here. http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with Decrypter&Shrink.pdf
noon, i knwo how to backup a dvd, but thses files were "gotten" from the net...ill avoid saying anymore...but yea all i have are those files...now from there, do i just put them all on a dvd just like that? does it matter which program i use...etc? thanks
BY LOOKING AT THOSE FILES you have 4 versions of the movie. Maybe in different languages or with director comments, something... VTS_01_1.VOB 1,048,574 kb VTS_01_2.VOB 1,048,574 kb VTS_01_3.VOB 1,048,574 kb VTS_01_4.VOB 1,048,574 kb I don't know which is which but in order for you to find out you're gonna have to open them in a burning program like Shrink. The smaller ones are probably like extra scenes or movie previews, I dunno. You'll have to check to see which is which. Sorry, without the actual files on my PC, i can't help you figure which is which.
unique 1 these are the normal files you will get from a ripped movie. DVD Decrypter split files to 1g when ripping if you look when you rip a movie you will get several of these dependent on the size of the movie. This is the main movie, not several movies. BhZd it looks like your main movie file is all there, all you can do is run them through Shrink and burn them.
uh oh. i burnt the dvd successfully...i watched a bit of it in dvd shrink to make sure it worked fine...one i burn the dvd (made the iso with shrink, and burnt with decrypter)...and when i put it in the ps2 and it gives me the message on a black screen b4 the movie loads...the message "TV system doesn't match" whats THAT supposed to mean? :|
Oh, oh it mean you have a PAL file read this thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/85850
ugh i cant reply to that thread cause of the rule "Replying to a thread that's older than 60 days is not allowed for users with member level of "Newbie" or "Junior Member" so yeah, is there a way i can convert this to ntsc?
It is a bit complicated use the search function at the top of the page and type in PAL to NTSC and you will get a lot of threads with the same problem, just start reading and hope you find your answer. Here is a couple of threads to start off, good luck http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/207123 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/220441
